Funeral services for Mrs. Mazie Ann Vaughn Copeland, age 96, of Alpine Tenn. will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Christ Presbyterian Church in Alpine, where the body will lie-in-state from 9 a.m. until time of services, with Bro. David Beaty officiating. Burial will be in the Vaughn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Speck Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. Mrs. Copeland passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at her home. She was born December 1, 1916, in Overton County Tenn. to the late John Cavin Mary Etta Keisling Vaughn. She was a Teacher's Aid for the LBJ C Head Start in Overton County.She was a member of the Falling Springs Missionary Baptist Church.She is survived by 3 sons, Dr. Steve Copeland wife Sue of Cookeville,Kent Copeland of Cleveland Tenn., David Copeland wife Teresa of Loudon Tenn.; 3 daughters, Betty Speck husband Victor of Cookeville Tenn., Ann Pangle of Cookeville Tenn., Donna Copeland of Alpine Tenn.;sister-in-law, Dorothy Huddleston of Livingston Tenn.; 13 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe Walter Copeland, sisters, Mab...[more]
