Funeral services for Mr. Horace Copeland, age 86, of Livingston will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2015 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Clayton Lee, Bro. Derrick Copeland, and Bro. Eric Dillon officiating. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens in Livingston where there will be a military service provided by the Honor Guard from the James T. Davis Memorial Post 5062 of the VFW in Livingston. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. Mr. Copeland passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, September 2, 2015 at Upper Cumberland Hospice Palliative Care in Cookeville with his family at his side. He was born June 21, 1929 in Overton County to the late Carl C. Daisy Boswell Copeland. He owned his own truck and drove for Highways, Inc. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and a member of the American Legion. He loved driving trucks, being around his family, his grandchildren, and gardening.
