Funeral services for Mrs. Alva Coleen Norris, age 85, of Livingston will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2015 from the Christ Church Presbyterian Alpine where the body will lie in state from 11 a.m. till time for services at 1 p.m. with Bro. David Beaty officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Alpine, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening at Speck Funeral Home from 5 until 8 p.m. Mrs. Norris passed away November 17, 2015 at Overton County Health Rehab Center. She was born April 25, 1930 in Overton County to the late George Esco Dean Copeland Beatty. She worked in the purchasing department for an auto parts manufacturer. She was a life member of the Christ Church Presbyterian where she loved attending and doing church work. She was a member of the Livingston Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron. She also loved working, taking care of her home, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mitchell wife, Kayla; 5 great-grandchildren, Kelty Norrod, Cannon Norrod, Lane Garrett, Sadie Garrett, and Cade Mitchell; 3 sisters, Evelyn Stephens of Livingston, Wanda Stephens of Livingston, Ann Ward of Crossville; and a brother, Jimmy Beatty wife, Sheryl of Livingston. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Donald Norris and a son-in-law, David Mitchell. Pallbearers to serve are Matt and Chuck Mitchell, Cory Norrod, Matt Garrett, Tommy and Mike Stephens. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church Presbyterian, Alpine.
