ract employee. Through his career Collins Radio became Rockwell Collins, Rockwell International and later Boeing. He lived and worked in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Plano, Texas; and Huntington Beach, California. After retiring he moved to Loveland, Colorado in 1997. Over the last 10 years Tom and Jane Wintered in Lake Havasu, and spent time at the family farm in Indiana
He was a 50 Year Mason and a Past Master of Longs Peak Lodge #197. On December 9, 2017, he received his 50 Year Pin from the Grand Lodge of Colorado, a ceremony held at Longs Peak Lodge #197 which he helped reopen in 2002.
He was a member of Hella Shriners, and played in the El Kahir Shrine Band in Cedar Rapids, Ia.
On August 26, 1962 he married Jane Wilson in Sheridan, Indiana. They celebrated 55 years of marriage in 2017. For their 50th Wedding Anniversary they were joined by family and friends in celebrate at Longs Peak Lodge.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Loveland. He was active in the "Five M's" group meeting every Monday morning. He chaperoned many trips with the First United Methodist Youth Group and enjoyed adult mission trips with the church.
In the 1970s and 1980's Tom was an avid trap shooter, traveling the Midwest earning many state championships.
Tom was very calculated and measured, except when playing Cards Against Humanity. He was very frugal, but would not hesitate to buy a $4.00 cup of Starbucks, and if Santiagos had a card punch program for breakfast burritos he would have made out like a bandit. He didn't talk about politics to people he didn't know, but everyday at 5 pm Eastern Time, he would be watching FOX, and could occasionally be seen with a Red Hat that said "Make America Great Again". Penny Slots had no chance, Blackhawk, Vegas or Laughlin.
Survivors include, his wife of 55 years Jane Wright, Loveland, CO. His sons Mark (Yvonne) Wright of Loveland, Colorado; and Andrew Wright of McKinney, Texas. Pips grandchildren were the sparkle in his eyes, Amanda (Justin) Wright-Cox, Hannah (Brad) Wright-Gleditsch, Zachery and Haden Wright of McKinney, Tx. His "Bonus" grandkids, James (Susan) Harbaugh, Amber (Richard) Harbaugh and Travis (Sally) Evans. And great granddaughter Loretta Harbaugh. His Brother In Law Bill (Judy) Wilson of Sheridan Indiana and two nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 10 am Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, 533 North Grant Street, Loveland. Masonic Services by Longs Peak Lodge #197. Visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Wednesday from 4 to 7 and 1 hour prior to the service. The casket will be closed for the service.
Indiana Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 at Hartley Funeral Home, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, Indiana. Burial will be at the Boxley Cemetery in Boxley, Indiana on Saturday February 10 at 9:30 am. His burial will be only a few miles from the farm that he called his "playground". The only rules growing up at the "Play Ground" were not to shoot any holes in the roof in the barn roof.
