older brothers in migrant work. As a young adult, she engaged in making a career with Shannon Hospital where she worked for over 25 years in Central Supply. In addition to this career, she also was a caregiver to the children of local Attorney, Don Griffis. Later in life, she became a domestic engineer for the Beaver's Lodge. Upon retirement, she spent her days being a caregiver for her grandchildren followed by her great-grandchildren as well as her late husband, Jesus Castaneda. Prior to her battle with Alzheimer's, Angela spent the majority of her life caring for any and all people who crossed paths with her. It was not uncommon for her to be in the kitchen making meals for her loved ones. It gave her much pleasure to have her grandchildren and great-grandchildren stay with her so she could cook her delicious specialties, especially her famous tortillas. Her eight grandchildren would stand in a line to get the next tortilla off the "comal" ready to smother it with butter. At times, it may have seemed like an eternity as her grandchildren waited patiently for the next available tortilla. Grandma expressed and shared her love for all through her cooking. She passed that love on to the next generations. Another love she shared with so many was her love for quilting. She handmade quilts for those who were having babies, getting married, graduating, and any other reason she could find to make one. Included in the quilts was always some special embroidering.
