rch in Des Moines. Robert built his own house, was a master handyman, loved woodworking, traveling, fishing, camping, wine making, gardening, and canning. As a child he once watched the jackets of Al Capone and associates when his mother, Henrietta, cooked a meal for them. As he grew he helped his Mom look after brothers, Bernard & Raymond. He will be remembered for lending a helping hand, expecting nothing in return. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30am, Monday, February 12, 2018, St. Anthony Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Road, Des Moines, IA 50315. The family will greet friends from 4 to 6pm Sunday at Dunn's Chapel, 2121 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50312, with a Rosary at 6pm.
