He then went on to earn his MBA at the University of Illinois at Chicago. During his 18 year career he worked for various companies as a project engineer or manager. He enjoyed bicycling and participated in many RAGBRAI events as a founding member of Team Blonde. His hobbies included camping, home improvement projects, cooking, photography, spending time with family and friends. His 3 children especially enjoyed his weekend breakfast creations, including his special pancake and biscuit recipe. He is survived by his wife and partner of 20 years, Jennifer Harris; children: Ella, Owen, Wyatt; parents, Larry and Lona Kock; sister, Kaliska (Mario) Mireles; mother-in-law, Christine (Doug) Cooper; brother-in-law, Tony Peet; sister-in-law, Carrie Peet; nephews: Logan, Ayden; nieces: Lauren, Skylar. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary on Sunday, February 11, 2018. Funeral Service will be 12:00 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary Chapel on Monday, February 12, 2018. Memorials may be made to the family for his children's education fund.
