ed bring the annual Civil War reenactment to Keokuk winning the Marilyn Pohorsky Award for his volunteer services in 2000. He was past president of the Southside Boat Club for 12 years, served on the Park and Recreation Board, the Riverfront study group for the City of Keokuk and served on the KEM Credit Union board of Directors. Ted was involved in bringing Riverboat Gaming to Lee County which brought the Emerald Lady to Keokuk. He called bingo for the Keokuk sports booster for 10 years and served on various committees for the Keokuk Community School District. He also enjoyed being the "crossing guard" at the Keokuk Middle School because he wanted to make sure those students arrived safe to their school day. Ted was also honored to have won the Spirit of Keokuk Award in 1998. Ted confessed his faith in Christ and attended The Well in Keokuk. Ted is survived by his wife Pam, sons Matt (Nicole) McGhghy, Tyler McGhghy, Mike McGhghy, Rich (Meg) McGhghy, all of Keokuk and Todd (Michelle) McGhghy of Ft. Madison. His brother Don (Pam) McGhghy of Mission Texas and sister Becky Tyler of Keokuk. Grandchildren Bentley McGhghy, Brody McGhghy, Braxtyn McGhghy, Blake McGhghy, Trent (Chelsie) Lovell, Dylan McGhghy, Kody McGhghy, Kaylee McGhghy, Meghin McGhghy. Great Grandchildren Jagger, Addison, Abigell, and Adalynn. His Uncle Roy (Jane) Manewal along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both his parents, brother Paul McGhghy, sister Virginia Ann Overhouser. Services will be held at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Center with visitation on Wednesday starting at 3pm with family meeting friends from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral will be held on Thursday at 11am with a meal to follow at The Keokuk Events Center. Memorials can be made to the family to help fund a memorial bench at Bentley's Playground in Tolmie Park.
