Maria was born April 15, 1923 to Eugenio and Ignacia Bocanegra Trevino in Mercedes Texas. She is survived by her loving family: Husband: Casimiro Martinez of Mercedes Texas, 6 Daughters: Elvia M. (Rolando)Vasquez of Weslaco Texas, Mary M. (Eddie) Torres of Mercedes Texas, Aida M. (Gilbert) Chapa of Illinois, Hortencia Martinez of Weslaco Texas, Yolanda Martinez of Mercedes, Maria Olga (Todd) Simonsen of Lake Villa, llinois, 2 sons: Casimiro (Jennifer) Martinez Jr. of Worthington Ohio, Javier M. (Thelma) Martinez of Mercedes, 23 Grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren 2 great-great grandchild , 3 sisters; Lourdes Trevino Silva, Albina Trevino and Alberta Muniz and numerous family members. She is preceded in death her parents and a grandchild. Maria Luz Martinez was a loving and dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is and will forever be loved and missed by all her hearts she touched.
