icut to stay with Richard while she flew to Connecticut to visit her mother. Her neighbors Catherine Wheale & Pete Zappula were always available to assist as needed. Aldona is survived by her 94 year old mother Matilda, her brother Val Kurapka , her step daughters in California and many relatives in Lithuania. She also leaves behind many special friends from her Lemon Bay High School family, the hundreds of students whom she has touched in her teaching years, and her supportive family, especially her prayer partners from St. Raphael Catholic Church. She leaves behind her cherished "doggies", Katie, Missy, Puppy and Oreo. She will be remembered for her many acts of kindness, her uplifting attitude, her passion for teaching and her passion for life in general. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Suncoast Humane Society on San Casa Drive where her dogs are available for adoption or to the Lemon Bay High School Scholarship Fund. Services will be held at St. Raphael Catholic Church on Old Englewood Road on Thursday February 22nd at 10:00 AM followed immediately by a brief ceremony in the adjacent Memorial Garden.
