Nov. 16, 2009 and he never stopped missing her. Dad spent 43 yrs. working at Gandy's Dairies and then 25 yrs. running his Snowcone Express truck. He referred to his snow cone truck as "just going out to play with the kids". He spent his entire adult life singing in the Baptist church as the Music Minister. He had a very deep love for Jesus and singing about Him was his passion. He said the happiest time in his life was when he met Jesus. He was a member of Calvary Baptist church. Everyone who knew Dad loved him. At Gandy's he was known as "Fast Eddie" because he never slowed down. All of his many nieces and nephews lovingly called him "Uncle Sonny". His grandchildren knew him as simply "Papa" and to his great grandchildren he was "Grampa". To his kids he was "The Best Dad In the World". He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B.Pruitt and Edna Pruitt Galey, his stepdad, Charlie Galey, 2 sisters, Marie White and Flora Bell Dinsmore, his daughter-in-law, Donna Pruitt and 1 grandson, Joe Teague. Mom and Dad are together now and they are all having a grand family reunion in heaven. He is survived by 1 son, Eddie Pruitt of San Angelo, 2 daughters, Dian Teague and husband Mike of San Angelo and Debbie Singleton of Abilene. 1 granddaughter, Gayle Pruitt Sharpsteen and husband Michael of San Angelo, 2 grandsons, Roger Pruitt and wife Christy of San Angelo and Adam Singleton of Abilene. 1 granddaughter-in-law, Buffy Teague Berry of San Angelo. 5 great granddaughters, Emily and Maggie Sharpsteen of San Angelo, Whitney Pruitt of Dallas, Cheyan Teague and fiancé Brandon of San Angelo, and Dustin Teague of San Angelo. 2 great grandsons, Dakota Teague and fiancé Scarlette of San Angelo and Lawrence Teague of San Angelo, and 1 great great granddaughter, Athena Teague and 1 great great grandson, Lawrence Teague both of San Angelo. 2 sisters-in-law, Velma McCleery of San Angelo, Alta McCleery of Lubbock, many nieces and nephews, several cousins and a lot of good friends. 2 special friends, Pat Colette and Margie Allison. So we all say goodbye to a man who has left some mighty big footsteps for us to follow. So long Dad until we meet again and know that you will forever be in our heart. Graveside service will be at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 26, 2018. Mr. Pruitt will be in repose for public viewing on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 8 am -until close at Johnson's Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers we request memorials be made to Hospice of San Angelo for all their wonderful and compassionate care. We would not have been able to go thru the last few weeks without them
