ters. In New Paltz, they started the business of the conservation of oil paintings. Elizabeth ran the business and developed the love of gardening and landscaping. On her estate in New Paltz, she developed a huge garden. She grew fruits, vegetables, spices, along with many trees and flowers. At harvest time, she would can jellies, jams and preserves and vegetables. She was "farm to table" before it was popular. She entertained and hosted many parties with up to 200 people.
She had a woodwind ensemble, played the piano and had a pottery studio. She enjoyed traveling to Europe, the tropics and around the United States and loved cultural events. Toward her later years, she enjoyed the company of her many true friends. She spent many hours reading and teaching her love of cooking to her two granddaughters.
She is survived by two daughters: Audrey Fishburne and Janet Lynn Barron; her nieces, Lynn Killam and Robin Scholer; her granddaughters, Elizabeth and Courtney Barron and her dear, loving friends.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
