Once the great-grandchildren came along her quilting days were over so instead, she crocheted them all a blanket. Caroline never stopped working. If she couldn't be outside doing something then she would stay inside and bake cookies. All of her grandchildren remember her famous sugar cookies. She always had cookies waiting for when they would visit her. During the last few months, it was seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that made her smile. Caroline is survived by her son Gary (Bev) Peters of Ames, son Keith (Joyce) Peters of Sheffield, son Roger (Kaye) Peters of Hampton, daughter Donnis (Rex) Borcherding of Latimer, daughter Donna (Carl) Watson of Creston, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one niece and sister-in-law Delores Worden of Iowa Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents (Charles and Reka Brodbeck), husband (Donald Peters), brother (Harold Brodbeck), sister-in-law (Lila Brodbeck), and niece (Karen Brodbeck). Memorial may be directed to the family.
