Verle "Ben" Palmer, 68, of Carson, IA, passed away on February 24, 2018 at the Oakland Manor in Oakland, IA. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Carson with Reverend Brody Tubaugh officiating. Inurnment will be held at the Wheeler Grove Cemetery. There is no scheduled visitation.

Verle Palmer, 68, of Carson, IA, passed away on February 24, 2018 at the Oakland Manor nursing home in Oakland, IA.
Verle was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on July 18, 1949 to Gayle and Jeanne (Holmes) Palmer of Carson. The family moved to Missouri. Verle attended high school in Shelbina, MO. He served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971 and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War period.
He was a welder by trade and retired from Palfinger (Omaha Standard) in 2016.
Verle was preceded in death by his father; and both sets of grandparents. He is survived by his mother Jeanne; sister Leslie (Rich) Anderson of Ashland, MO; sons, Eric Michael, Gayle Gene and Zach; grandson Michael Wayne; granddaughters, Abbie and Kati, all of Burlington, IA.
