Harold Dyer, age 78 of Decherd, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. He was born on March 7, 1939 in Coalmont to the late James and Harlie Scott Dyer. Harold was of the Church of Christ Faith. He retired from AEDC sixteen years ago, where he had been employed as a machinist. Harold had a great love for guns and Ford trucks, was a CB radio enthusiast, and enjoyed going to the Smoky Mountains. His family will remember him as one who "did it his way." In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his brother, Jamie Dyer, and nephew, Myron Dyer. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Dyer; children, Harold Randall (Susan) Dyer of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, Renae Dyer Roddy of Shelbyville, Timothy (Connie) Little of Decherd, and Tara (Brent) Mathews of Murfreesboro; sister, Juanita Hargis of Detroit, Michigan; two nephews; and one niece. Visitation will be from 5-8pm Tuesday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Brother Ray Winton officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
