ANTHONY WYNN BEEMAN
Nee TONY LEE BEEMAN
October 23, 1956 - March 7, 2018

Anthony passed peacefully after a long battle with cancer at his home in Issaquah, Washington. He was the son of Arthur Chester and Elizabeth Jane Beeman (Owen).

Anthony grew up in Spokane, Washington where he attended St. Anthony's Catholic School and North Central High School, graduating in 1974.

Anthony married Alan P. Kegel December 9, 2009 in a holiday ceremony at their home in Issaquah, Washington. They were domestic partners since March 17, 1993.

Anthony worked for many years for PNW Bell and then AT&T, and after being transferred to Seattle, Anthony co-owned and operated the Chip & Doodle Bakery in Bellevue for ten years with his friend Patty. When they closed the bakery, Anthony went to work for Space Labs. Anthony's career change into the caregiving field started with his work as a Certified Nursing Assistant. He served as the Admissions Director for New Hope Skilled Nursing facility, and the Admissions Director for Mission Skilled Nursing in Bellevue. Wherever he worked, Anthony received many awards and accolades for his contributions and always had great relationships with his co-workers and peers.

Anthony loved going to estate sales and making homemade soap for his family and friends. He spent many hours at the National Archives researching his roots, and traced his family back to the early 1600's in Pennsylvania. Anthony loved watching Seahawks and Mariners games. Anthony was passionate about animal rights, and he often posted animal rescue information on his Facebook page.

In June 2017, Anthony and Alan took a month-long road trip that took them to many of our National Parks, to Fremont, Nebraska to visit the museum that has his great, great grandfather's original log cabin built in 1864, and to Phoenix, Arizona to visit his daughter, Christine and grandson, Ryder.

Anthony got to fulfill a life-long dream of getting upfront and personal with an elephant at the Wildlife Safari in Roseberg, Oregon last August. He spent an hour feeding and petting the elephant, during which he never looked happier.

Anthony is survived by husband and life partner, Alan Kegel, children Jill Kegel, Michael Kegel (Monique), and Christine Pietzsch; grandchildren Hailey Kegel, Ryder Pietzsch, Savannah Kegel and Skyler Kegel; siblings Sharron Bybee (Ken), Janeen DeCaro (John), Luanna Schmahl (Mike), George Beeman (Nancy), Dale Beeman, and Elayne Campbell (Ron) and many other nieces and nephews and Roxie, their beloved Chihuahua.

Memorials can be made to Old Dog Haven, 621 SR 9 NE, PMB A4, Lake Stevens, WA 98258 or Wildlife Safari, 1790 Safari Road, Winston, OR 97496.

A celebration of Anthony's life will be announced on CascadeMemorial.com website, where you are also invited to leave your stories and remembrances of Anthony.

I knew Anthony from my time at Spacelabs Medical Data. From the first day, I knew I had met someone truly special in this world! His loving kindness and great sense of humor will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. Anthony, until we meet again, the echo of your laughter and sweet smile will live on in my memories.

Anthony was truly one of the kindest human beings I have ever known. When I think of Anthony, the first word that comes to mind is love. He loved people and God's creatures in a way that many people may never experience. My heart goes out to Alan and all of Anthony's family members. I can only hope and pray that the wonderful memories of him will help each of you through the tough times. The only thing that gives me comfort when dealing with his loss is knowing I will see him someday on the other side. I will remember Anthony and his goodness for the rest of my life and can easily say that I/we are all better people for knowing him. Bless you all, Nancy Watts
