James Edward "Jim" Vincent, 90 of North Sioux City, SD, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018. Per James wishes he will be cremated and there will be no funeral services. Donations can be made to American Legion Post #319, North Sioux City, SD. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.
James was born May 5, 1927 in a sod house, in Baker, North Dakota the son of Edward and Gertie (Marlenne) Vincent. Jim served in the United States Army during WWII and the Korean War before being Honorable Discharged as a Convenience of the Government on July 9, 1952 as Sergeant First Class.
He is survived by his five daughters; Elaine (Lance) Tobias of Glendale, AZ; Vickie Vincent of Sioux City, IA; Debbie (Russ) Robinson of Sioux City, IA; Lori (Bryce) Schmidt of Sioux City, IA and Karen Vincent of Lincoln, NE., two sons; Rick Vincent of North Sioux City, SD and Max (Mary) Vander Linden of CA., two sisters: June Abdullah of CO; Linda Vigness of SD; and Barbara Coker of ND., one brother: Sheldon (Shirley) Vincent of ND., 15 grandchildren and 19 g...[more]

Jim is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn (Western) Vincent; and two brothers: Perry Vincent and Everett Vincent.
