Gary George Rice passed away at his home in Brighton on Sunday, March 4th, 2018 at the age 73. Gary was born in Ottawa, Kansas on November 9th, 1944 to Lorene and George Rice. Gary was raised along with his siblings on their homesteads in Colorado.
Gary was a loving husband, father, uncle, and grandfather to his family. Gary served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He returned home safely and worked for 30+ years at North West Pipe and Steel. When he wasn't working, he liked to restore cars in his garage. Gary was a collector of cars, guns, knives, and other miscellaneous items.
Gary is survived by his loving wife Frances of 50 years. They were married in Thornton on March 1st, 1968. Gary is lovingly remembered by his wife Frances; sisters Kay (Rodney) Moritz and Kathy (Rollie) Ahlm; daughters Lora Rice-Archuleta and Danielle Rice; grandchildren Josephina and Alexander Archuleta.
