Phyllis Irene Bagby

Phyllis Irene Bagby, 85, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Wednesday, March 13, 2018 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home. Phyllis was born February 3, 1933 in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Milfred and Blanche Brunk Loy.  Phyllis was united in marriage to Henry "Hank" Bagby on February 22, 1953.  Phyllis worked at Black's Department Store, then at Rath Packing Company from 1951 until their closing. She was a giver and always donated to charities. Phyllis would put care packages together and send them to those in need. She also sent mass cards out to those who were sick or in need. Phyllis enjoyed traveling, gardening and feeding birds and turkeys. She loved her family and would do anything to help anybody. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, George and Robert Loy. Phyllis is survived by her son Deric Bagby of Waterloo, her significant other, Luke Hackman of Waterloo, two brothers, Paul (Mary "Fran") Loy of Janesville, IA and David (Judy) Loy of Waterloo, two sisters, Darlene Hospodarsky of Waterloo and Carolyn (Mike) Mrzlak of Waterloo, a sister-in-law Carol Loy Aldrich and her nieces and nephews.
