Armando Benjamin "Ed" Santese 82, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 7th 2018 in his sleep of natural causes at his home in Ft. Lauderdale.
Ed was born November 29th, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA to Lazzaro and Grace (Imparato) Santese. He graduated from Roman Catholic high school in 1953 in Philadelphia.
Ed volunteered to join the Army, stationed in Germany in armored communications. After his return he married his high school sweetheart Evelyn Kwedder. Four children soon followed.
Moving his family to Fort Lauderdale in 1968, Ed worked for Royal typewriter before forming Commercial Business Machines in 1972, which was still in operation at the time of his death.
Known for his sense of humor and gregarious nature, Ed forged many long term friendships.
He enjoyed playing tennis, the beach, and loved his pets. He also was a big fan of the Dolphins, Marlins, and his hometown World Champion Eagles.
Ed is survived by sons, Richard (Caroline) Santese, Edward Santese, Scott (Sandra) Santese and daughter Sherri (Tony) Iwanczyk. Grandchildren Austen, Alex, Addison, Grant, and Max.
A Celebration of life is planned in late March.
