God intended. It takes a village to raise someone as special as Matt, and Matt had a village to support him and his family. If you met Matt and looked into his eyes, got that smile or a high five, you were hooked for life. You became a part of Matt's village and the way you looked at things changed just a little bit. Best of all, you were reminded to slow down, enjoy life, and remember what was most important. Matt loved country music, WWE Wrestling, ice cream and pizza. He enjoyed hockey games, concerts and bowling, but most of all he loved the Hawkeyes - football and basketball were his favorite. The family asks that to honor Matt's love of the Hawkeyes that you wear your Hawkeye gear to the visitation. Matthew will be deeply missed by his parents, Kevin and Brenda; two sisters, Mikelle Cooke and Jacee Christensen; nieces Nalane and Alexis Cooke; grandmothers, Verna Craig and Nancy Christensen, aunts and uncles, Amy and Greg Brinser, Tim and Tracy Christensen, Jay and Lisa Harter, Stephanie and Darrin Huggins; and many cousins and extended family and friends.
