Walter R. Hall 85 of Lake Placid, FL, passed away peacefully on March 17 at home.
He was ushered into the presence of Jesus His Savior and Lord free from his pain and suffering. He attended Eastside Crhistian Church.
Walter was born in Conneaut Lake, PA, a son of Lloyd V. and Hazel Bell Spargo Hall on Aug. 13, 1932.He married Thelma Phillips on July 4, 1952; she survives. Walt was a 1950 graduate from Saegertown, PA and was a U.S. Army veteran honorably discharged after serving his country during the Korean War. He retired from Consolidated (Conrail) Railroad after 35 years of service and had previously been employed by the Former American Viscose Corp. and the Saegertown Dairy Co-op. He enjoyed outdoor activities-hunting, fishing, archery, archeology and gardening. His hobbies included oil and water painting, wood carving and arrow-head hunting. He is survived by two children ; daughter Joetta Mast and son Christopher (Barb) Hall. Also 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, a brother-in-law George Watson, and a sister-in-law Reta Hall.
