MADISON-Ronald Ofstun, age 58, passed away from non-clear cell renal carcinoma, a rare form of kidney cancer, on Monday, March 19, 2018, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg with his family by his side.  Ron was a lifelong runner, competing in numerous long distance races and area fun runs. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed running and biking the Glacial Drumlin State Trail. He also enjoyed traveling and visiting national parks. He had many happy trips visiting his daughter and exploring the San Jose, Monterey, and San Francisco areas.  Ron worked for 20 years for Fish Building Supply and 17 years for the City of Madison Streets Dept. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Cynthia; and their children, Alison (Oday Albakri) Ofstun, of San Jose, Calif., and son, Nicholas, of Madison; and his adored grandsons, Hatim and Noah Albakri. He is further survived by his mom, Eloise; his brother, Richard (Lucille) of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and niece and nephew, Emily and Adam Ofstun.
