years. She always considered her music a gift from the Lord and shared it generously with her church and community. She also wrote the script for several Advent Programs for Trinity. Evelyn provided entertainment with her keyboard for many events and especially Nursing Homes, Senior Center and various organizations in Hampton and surrounding communities. She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, Hampton Senior Center, and enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crafts, but her pride and joy in life were her grandchildren and all the activities they were involved in. She is survived by son Darrell and wife Beverly of Hampton, Donald and wife Mary of Ankeny, daughter LuAnn (Stratmann) Foss and husband Robert of Colfax, seven grandchildren Angela (Stratmann) Petersen and husband Chris of Goldfield, Darcy (Stratmann) Tidd and husband Rich of Monument, Colorado, Brian and Jason of Colfax and Jared Foss and wife Lindsey of Polk City, Chad Liska of Osage and Jade and wife Kristin Liska of Liberty, Missouri, great grandchildren Trevor Petersen, Cash and Ada Tidd, Maddox Foss, Ashlyn and Alec Liska, Alex and Ariana and one great great grandson Mason. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, in 1994, daughter Darlene on March 25, 2011, sister Addie Tripp in 2012 and brothers Carl and Luverne Burkley. Funeral service will be held Wednesday (March 28) at 10:30 a.m., at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton. Visitation will be held Tuesday (March 27) from 4-7 p.m., at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton. Burial will take place at the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton. Rev. Karl Bollhagen will be officiating.
