Robert D. Bartell, "Bob", passed away March 21, 2018, in Seattle, WA. He was born June 25, 1937 in Tonasket, WA. He was proceeded in death by his twin sister Ruth, brother Jack, and parents John and Betty (Ella Vietta). After graduating from high school, Bob attended Kinman Business University in Spokane and, upon completion of his education, moved to Seattle to start working for Northern Pacific Railroad as a sales representative. He was employed by the railroad through numerous mergers until his retirement in 1999. He served in the Army Reserves during the early 1960s and in 1964 he married Mary Ann Nelson. Bob was a devoted husband and father who took an active part in the raising of his daughters Robin and Jona. His granddaughter, Elizabeth (Robin and Patrick) was a source of joy to him from the moment she was born. Bob enjoyed traveling with his family, both locally and around the world. Together, they made lots of memories and their adventures are the subject of numerous family stories. He was a supporter of the arts who regularly attended live theater and the opera.
