er children were the beneficiaries of her trial menus. She, Rudy, and their eldest son, Tommy, retired to Fort Dodge, Iowa in 2003 where she spent her remaining days praying the Rosary, partaking in Bible studies, being a Eucharistic Minister, teaching RCIA, being a Spanish-English interpreter for her church, hospital, and legal system and spending time with family. She was a daughter of the Catholic Daughters of America, Third Order Franciscan and a member of the Legion of Mary. Emma is survived by her 6 children, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. To her loved ones, she was Mom, caretaker, counselor, chef, cheerleader, school-bus driver, personal tailor, teacher, and beloved Grandma. She guided, coached, encouraged and loved her children and grandchildren with steadfast passion. She exemplified the opening lines of Mary's canticle, the Magnificat "My soul doth magnify the Lord and my Spirit rejoices in God my Saviour." Her grace and beauty will be missed profoundly by family and friends. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 1:30 p.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be at Corpus Christi Church with Rev Patrick Behm officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with a Rosary 4:30 p.m.
