Rolando Israel Montero, 96, of Hollywood, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 31, 2018 with him loving family by his side. Born in Colon Matanzas, Cuba on February 3, 1922, son of Francisco and Emilia (Ramos) Montero. Raised in Cuba, Rolando and his wife migrated to the Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1980. Before his retirement, Rolando worked as an auto mechanic for many years at Church and Tower Florida, Inc. located in Opa Locka, Florida. Gutierrez. Also survived by his loving sisters, Elsa Montero of Colon Matanzas, Cuba and Mireya Montero of San Jose, Costa Rica. Visitation Tuesday, April 3rd from 6:00 ~ 10:00 P.M. at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, Florida. A Catholic Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, April 4th at 11:00 A.M. at Fred Hunters. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3001 North 72 Avenue, Hollywood, FL.
