he building at the crusade. Neither of them knew of the other professing salvation. December 5, 1955, John left the service and the couple returned to Poynette. John learned the plumbing trade and worked at it for 20 years. They moved to Park Circle in Middleton in 1967. He then worked with the Middleton Park Department for 18 years. They were licensed as foster parents, then adopted Christine and Jayne. John and June have been active members at Middleton Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church in Sun Prairie, and Waunakee Baptist Church. In 2015 they went back to Middleton to The Jefferson on Old Sauk Rd., where they attended church, partied all the time, and made new friends. John is survived by his wife June Johnson of Madison; Daughters Jayne Brown of Arizona and Christine Johnson of Madison; Granddaughters Jessica and Jeannine; and Grandson Richaard. Friends and family are invited to visit from 10 - 11 AM on Thursday, April 5th, 2018, at WINN-CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 5785 HWY Q, WAUNAKEE, with a memorial service to follow.
