r fascinating stories carried on throughout his life, even while he was fighting his battle with cancer. After retiring from Honeywell in the late 1990's he and Judy spent their retirement years traveling in their motorhome and traveling on over 40 cruises. His enrapturing stories captured the fascination of people from all walks of life from all over the world. Whether he was basking in a hot tub on the cruise ship or in a natural hot springs near Yellowstone, everyone in the vicinity knew who Buffalo Bob was and everyone he met soon had a smile on their face. He could easily converse with the most established scientists, local fishermen or college students two generations younger than himself. When he wasn't traveling, he was an avid rock-hound, involved with the North Seattle Lapidary and Mineral Club as their Treasurer. He would also visit rock shops everywhere he traveled. He would cut, grind and polish beautiful stones that caught his eye before mounting them simply as pendants or other beautiful jewelry pieces. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Robert Glen Hale Sr (Sept 2003) and Helen "Ella" Hale (Aug 2008) and his sister Cindy Houser (Oct 2009). He leaves behind his wife Judy, and daughters Barbara and (Don) Early, of Sequim, Wa (Grandaughter Kathryn and (Jeff) Wareham and Grandson Jacob Early), Lori Siner of Sequim, Wa, Marianne Porter of Bonney Lake, Wa (Grandaughters Jamie and (Will) Taylor, Sarah Nelson, Kyla Paquette, Grandsons Nick Paquette, Travis Porter and Cody Porter). Bob also had seven great grandchildren. His daughters Stacey and (Paul) Rugheimer of Bozeman, Mt (Grandsons Jackson and Nathan Rugheimer) and Shannon Hale of Edmonds, Wa. He also leaves behind his siblings, brothers William Hale, Jack and (Sandy) Hale, Thomas and (Ann) Hale all whom are from Halifax, Pa and his sister Mari Joy Miller of Liverpool, Pennsylvania. Bob also had many nephews he adored, Michael Smith, Glen Hale, Brian Bobninski, James Hale, Craig Hale, and Joshua Houser. The Family would like to thank their supportive neighbors who have provided wonderful generosity to Bob and Judy. A special thank you to Dr. Edmond Marzibani at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance Center who provided endless care to Bob and his family and to Dr. Jessamyn Blau, the Hospitalist at Northwest Hospital. We cannot thank you enough. Friends and family are invited to a Memorial Service at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home on Friday, April 27th at 1pm. In Lieu of flowers or donations, please support the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance or the North Seattle Lapidary and Mineral Club.
