years as a guard at the Federal Building in Dubuque, until his eventual permanent retirement finally arrived. He would meet, and eventually marry the love of his life, Carolyn Noel on May 11, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two would be blessed to enjoy almost 20 wonderful years together. Stan's military career was always of the utmost importance to him and he was a faithful member of several organizations including the D.A.V., the V.F.W., and the American Legion Dubuque Post #6, where he was a trusted member of the funeral detail. When Stan wasn't devoting his time with his military friends, he could easily be found spending time with his family. An afternoon of spending time with the grandkids, or even an evening of trying his luck at the casino with Carolyn by his side, were always considered to be a good use of valuable time to Stan. We are deeply saddened at the loss of our dear husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, but take comfort in the knowledge that he now lies in a renewed state of perfection, free from the physical limitations which he has battled these past few years, and is at everlasting peace with his Lord and Savior awaiting our joyous reunion one day.
