Funeral services for Mrs. Sandra Raye Roberts Young, age 67, of Monroe will be conducted 2 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Bro. Joel Chappell,Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Beaty Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. Mrs. Young passed from this life on Sunday evening, April 8, 2018 from the Livingston Regional Hospital. She was born May 31, 1950 in Pickett County to the late Stanley Ray & Dosha Mae Jolley Roberts. She received her Bachelor Science Degree from Tennessee Tech in 1971. Sandra was a member of the Love Lady Christian Church in Byrdstown, where she was baptised in the Obey River. Sandra taught school for 37 years. Her first school was Monroe, then Independence and retiring from A.H. Roberts. She was known for her cooking and raising the best garden around. Sandra also loved sewing baby blankets for her family and friends.
