Mary Jane Hernandez, 77, of Brighton, Colorado, passed away April 8, 2018.
Mary Jane was born June 16, 1940, to Josephine (Roybal) and Juan Sandoval in Las Vegas, New Mexico. She attended public schools in Las Vegas, New Mexico and finished her schooling in Brighton, Colorado. She married Pedro Hernandez February 27, 1959 in Crystal City Texas.
Mary Jane worked as a counselor for Man Power helping youth find work. She worked as a drug and alcohol counselor for Adams County. She loved playing bingo and her trips up the hill. Mary Jane was a member of the Saint Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton, Colorado and lived in Brighton, Colorado most of her life.
Mary Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Hernandez. Mary Jane is survived by her sons: Pete (Taye) Hernandez Jr of Brighton, Colorado and John (Rose Ann) Hernandez of Fort Lupton, Colorado, her daughters; Blanca (Bryan) Nitsche of Oregon, Laurie Sandoval of Thornton, Colorado, Patty (James) Hernandez of Hudson, Colorado, JoAnn (Bill) Garcia of Fort Lupton, Colorado; sisters; Eleanor Ramirez of Pueblo, Colorado and Connie Garcia of Sante Fe, New Mexico, as well ...[more]

Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2018 at Saint Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton, Colorado, inurnment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton, Colorado.
Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton, Colorado handled the arrangements.
