Janet Lee Ellis

Janet Lee Ellis (nee Avery) passed away at age 56 on April 11, 2018, at home with her loving husband Tim & family after bravely fighting pancreatic cancer. Janet graduated from Coral Springs HS in 1979 & achieved her RN degree from Palm Beach State College. She loved all living things, especially her feline family that found their way to her door. Janet was a die-hard Chicago Cub fan, touched all whom she met, strangers, friends, co-workers & customers[ at Max's Grille & Trader Joes in Boca Raton. She also was an avid quilter, sharing them lovingly among many who passed through her life. Janet's greatest attribute was her love of humanity & compassion for others. Her life was filled with light, one of quality & joy. She was a beautiful inspiration & example of a life well lived. Born in Chicago, Illinois she is the beloved wife of Richard "Tim" Ellis and loving daughter of Sharon Bunn and the late George Avery. She is the sister of, Sam Bunn, Steve Bunn, Lynne Loschiavo (Richard) and the late Scott Avery. The family will receive relatives and friends at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 4650 N. Federal Highway, Lighthouse Point, FL 33064, on Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. when a service to celebrate Janet's life will begin. Private committal services are planned.
