Charles L. "Chuck" Phelps, 86, of Brighton, passed away April 12, 2018 in Brighton, Colorado. He was born in Pueblo, Colorado on November 8, 1931 to Jean (Dickinson) and James Phelps Sr.
He attended Florida State University Architectural Program. He worked for Frontier Airlines as a Warehouse Manager, Managed an Appliance Store, was a Carpet Mill Rep, he owned a Grocery Store, the District and Regional Manager for Parents Without Partners and a member of The Air National Guard. Chuck was a local, state, and national volunteer for the American Red Cross Disaster Program, Civitan Foundation, and served on the board of the Brighton Senior Center.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Shirley, children: Jackie Phelps Clark (Tom) Clark of Flower Mound, Texas, Pamela Phelps Genevesi of Salt Lake City, Utah, Brett Halsey of Brighton, Colorado and Robert Halsey of Brighton, Colorado, brother, Russell Phelps of Boulder, Colorado, as well as 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at Imperial Memorial Garden Cemetery, in Pueblo Colorado on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
