s with him. Jim & Dixie are both members of Glad Tidings Church. They could not ask for a better, more caring church family, as they have helped Jim and Dixie in so many ways during the past year as they battled his cancer together. Jim and Dixie attended Church and Sunday School regularly until his cancer kept him from leaving the house. Jim was baptized many years ago, but he recently re-committed his life to Christ. Jim always looked forward to NASCAR season to watch Dale Earnhardt and Dale Jr., and to the NFL season so he could cheer on the Chicago Bears. Everyone knew not to bother Jim on Sunday afternoons because he would be in front on the television watching his sports. Surviving Jim are his wife of 47 years, Dixie Brown; and two children, Brook Ledbetter (husband, Jerry) and Damon Brown (wife, Jeanie); four grandchildren, Luke and Eliza Ledbetter, Morgan Teruel (husband Mike), and Madeline Brown; three step-grandchildren, Sarah Wignall (fiancé, Jake), Lanah Wignall, and Izzy Wignall (wife, Kelli); one great-grandson, Mosha Teruel; a soon-to-be great-granddaughter; and his aunt - Francis Jones. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Olive Brown; two uncles, Les Jones and Gene Traylor; as well as Gene's wife, Clara.
