rs were drawn to her. She became a surrogate mother to many over the years. Janet was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister as well as fiercely protective of her family. After being baptized, Janet joined another family, her "church family", when she became a member of Church of God of Pembroke Pines. Her relationship with God became an integral part of her life. On April 16th 2018, due to complications from a brief illness, Janet slipped the surly bonds of this earth to spend an eternity with her maker. Janet is bereaved by her husband, Ian Nathaniel, her children Lisa Nathaniel-Franklin, Janice Nathaniel, Vernon Nathaniel, M.D., and Staff Sergeant Keshawn Nathaniel, USMC (ret), her mother, Estelle Bartlett, grandchildren Jasmin Nathaniel-Anderson and Faith Nathaniel, numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as untold friends.
