rles moved to Algona. She then joined First Lutheran Church. While in Lakota, Charlene served in many areas of the church, women's organization, choir, church council, and various committees. She also was on the Lakota Library board for 12 years. Charlene was a dedicated supporter of Exceptional Opportunities from the time Steven and Mark started receiving services. She devoted her life to helping Steven and Mark achieve a successful, meaningful life. She was a member of Friends of Exceptional Opportunities since its beginning, serving in various officer positions. Charlene is survived by sons Steven and Mark of Algona; and many nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Charles on September 5, 2009.
