ood Products and later he was the building maintenance and carpenter for Smithway Motor Xpress. In 1998, Bruce started working for his son-in-law at Rich Woods in Fort Dodge and retiring in the fall of 2014. His wife Ardys passed away on January 23, 2013.
Bruce was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and had a passion for woodworking and vegetable gardening. But his greatest love was for his wife, his four daughters, his sons-in-law, and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bruce is survived by his four daughters, Beth (Ron) Battcher, Jo (Rich) Seltz, Kim (Todd) Eastwood and Cathy McNeal all Fort Dodge; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; his three sisters, Eileen Payne, Marilyn Giacomelli and Pauline Stine.
He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents, an infant daughter, Kristin Pingel and a great granddaughter, Ava Passow, his two brothers, Merlin and Vern Pingel, his sister, Illah Bueoy and a son-in-law George McNeal.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
