ons. She loved good writing and would read out loud a favorite article or passage to anyone who would listen; many people have said Judy could have been a writer. She was always a cheerleader, reacting to someone's good news with excitement, rejoicing with them. She stayed in touch with friends from all seasons of her life and adored and cherished her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by two daughters, Kelly Pelton and husband Roger of Kerrville, Texas, and Tracy Hale and husband Michael of Fort Hood, Texas; six granddaughters, Emma Hale, Sophie Hale, Myla Hale, Ruby Hale, Madeleine Pelton, Zoe Pelton; and four grandsons, Joel Pelton, Ethan Hale, Gage Hale, Luke Hale; and by John Crews, the father of her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Gerry W. Green.
The family extends a special thanks to Peterson Regional Medical Center and to Peterson Hospice for their gentle, compassionate care during Mom's final days.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 28th, at the First United Methodist Church in Victoria, Texas at 1:00 PM to celebrate her life. A second service will be held in Rocky Mountain National Park in Estes Park, Colorado this summer, date to be determined.
