Doris Ingrid Backman

Doris Ingrid Backman (Solhaug) died peacefully on April 25, 2018, in Seattle at the age of 83. Doris is survived by her husband Alvin Backman of Seattle and her children: Kris Dugan of Stanwood, Teresa Olney of Renton, and Brian Backman of Anacortes. Doris was born on November 17, 1934, in Seattle. She was the youngest of four children: sister Mildred, brother Elvin, and twin brother David. Doris loved her children, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, her Norwegian heritage, her Seattle Mariners, and most of all Alvin, her husband of 44 years. A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, May 5 at 12 noon at Evergreen Washelli, Seattle. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Doris' life. [more]
