Adding to that sparkle were her great-grand children: Ava, Evelyn, Leo, Rosalie and soon to come Noah. Lena's family wishes to thank the staffs of Carolina's Healthcare System University Hospital, Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County (North Carolina), as well as the Memorial Healthcare System (Florida) for their care and guidance with Lena's health. Their love, compassion, and kindness was appreciated greatly and will not be forgotten. There will be Visitation held in Charlotte, North Carolina, as well as Visitation, a Funeral Mass and Burial in Davie, Florida. The North Carolina visitation will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Road, Huntersville, North Carolina 28078. The Florida services will all take place on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, as follows: Visitation will be held at Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m, at 2401 South University Drive, Davie, Florida 33324 and the Funeral Mass will be held at Saint David Catholic Church, 3900 South University Drive, Davie, Florida 33328. Immediately following the Funeral Mass, there will be a Burial Service at Forest Lawn South, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Davie, Florida 33314.
