Albert C. Herrman, 95, went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2018 at his home in Brighton, Colorado. Born July 16, 1922 in Liebenthal, Kansas to Fredlin and Amelia (Schupman) Herrman, Albert was the eldest of 4 children. A lifetime member of Saint Augustine Catholic Church, he married "the love of his life ", Mary Billinger on April 23, 1946 at the church.
At the young age of 17, Albert joined the Civilian Conservation Corps ( more commonly known as the 3 C's) from January 1940 through June 1941 with an honorable discharge. Albert enlisted into the United States Navy, where he served from 1942 through 1946. He served in Asiatic, Pacific, and American locations. Friends and family will state that Albert has always remained a proud and patriotic navy man, complete with flag flying and attending Memorial Day Celebrations at the Brighton Cemetery.
After an honorable discharge from the United States Navy, Albert worked at the Great Western Sugar Company (5 years), Trailmobile (20 years), and American Semi Trailers until his retirement age.[more]

A dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Albert enjoyed family gatherings and celebrations. Some of Albert's "favorite things" included camping, fishing, tractors, trains, clocks (which he designed and built), horse shoe competitions, gardening (especially tomatoes and cucumbers), cooking, Polka music, and his workshop. If Albert was unable to "fix "something, he would just build something new. He was passionate about nature and all animals, especially dogs. Animal abuse indeed ruffled his feathers. Albert also had an obedient love for the Lord.
Albert is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Ken) Jump of Brighton; sister, Irene McFall of Commerce City; brother, Simon Herrman of Arizona; grandsons, Brian (Dawn) Stanley of Parker; Kent (Tracey) Stanley of Castle Rock; and four great-grandchildren, Victoria, James, Brianna, and Nathan. Included are beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and a baby sister, also named Irene.
Note: Albert went to be with Jesus on his daughter's (Stephanie) 70th Birthday.
