Laverna Elizabeth Younger, 89, of Brighton, passed away, April 22, 2018 at her home in Brighton, Colorado. Laverna was born, September 19, 1928 in Collyer, Kansas to Agatha (Bach) and Andrew Brown.
Laverna has lived in the Brighton, Commerce City area most of her life, attending high school in Brighton. She spent most of her time, outside of raising her family to her church, both, Our Lady Mother of the Church in Commerce City and Saint Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton, Colorado. Laverna loved to dance, particularly line dancing and polka. She was known for her baking, especially her pies and cakes. She enjoyed sharing her baking with the church priests, friends and family. Laverna enjoyed singing from a young age.
Laverna is survived by her husband, Ernest of Brighton, Colorado, her son, Jim (Linda) Younger of Fort Lupton, Colorado, daughter Pat (Wayne) Medlin of Brighton, Colorado, grandchildren: Tim, Nikki, Jennifer and Joe, and great-grandchildren: Taylor, Ciara, Brian, Emma, Riley, and Peyton, sisters, Tina Roth of Longmont, Colorado, Berniece (Keith) Anderson of Brighton, Colorado, Norma Brown of Brighton, Colorado, br...[more]

Rosary will be held, at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Saint Augustine Catholic Church, with the Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:30 a.m., interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton, Colorado.
