Vera J. Koenig, age 98, of Highland, NY, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Wingate At Ulster.
She was born September 22, 1919 in Saugerties, NY, and was the daughter of the late Lyman and Edith (Bartell) Wynkoop. She was the wife of the late Clarence H. Koenig who predeceased her on November 9, 2004.

Vera was a graduate of Saugerties High School, Class of 1937 and a graduate of the Spencer School of Business. She was employed by the NYS Bridge Authority in Highland until her retirement in 1982. She had previously worked for attorney William Gruner as a secretary. She was a member of the New Paltz United Methodist Church, the Red Hats Club and the New Paltz Study Club and was an avid butterfly collector.

She is survived by two sons: Dennis W. Koenig and his wife, June, of New Paltz, NY and Bruce D. A Celebration of her Life and a Graveside Service will be held at a later date at New Paltz Rural Cemetery, 81 Plains Road, New Paltz, with Pastor Bette Sohm officiating.
