e Lutheran Church in Marcus where she played the organ, was a Sunday School teacher, an active member of the LWML, a volunteer for the Braille ministry, and many more ministries where she was needed. Anna Mae spent many years volunteering at the Marcus Public Library. She loved spending time with her family especially the yearly vacations at Fillenworth Beach Resort in Okoboji. You might have seen Anna Mae around town exercising (before it was the "thing" to do) by walking, riding her bike with her little Chihuahua in the front basket, or at aquasize at the Marcus pool in the summers.
Anna Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, her parents, an infant great granddaughter, Gemma Ladenthin, brother, William Muecke, and a sister, Margaret (Paul) Cramer.
Living to cherish her memory are her children Philip and wife, Alayda Ladenthin of Marcus; Gloria and husband, Mikel Schmillen of Spencer, Iowa; and John and wife Mary Ladenthin of Minnetonka, Minnesota, 9 grandchildren; Krista (Bryan) Dirks of Marcus, Angela (Scott) Mingus of Spencer, IA, Jason (Stephanie) Ladenthin of Liberty, MO, Tricia (Thomas) Greinert of Lenexa, KS, Scot (Colleen) Ladenthin of Cherokee, IA, Amanda Schmillen of Asheville, NC, Nicole Ladenthin of Minnetonka, MN, Josh Ladenthin of Parkinson, TX, Jacob Ladenthin of St. Paul, MN;17 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
