Lois Mae Otto

Lois Mae Otto, 93, of Burlington died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Born June 4, 1924 in Walcott, IA, she was the daughter of William G. Rostenbach and Mary Ann Feuerbach. She married William E. Otto on July 18, 1945 in Davenport, IA. He preceded her in death on September 23, 2003. Lois graduated from Bennett High School in Bennett, IA. She worked at Sylvania, Winegard, and as a counselor/interviewer at Job Service for 20 years before retiring in 1986. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. She belonged to RSVP, Golden Oldies and Prime Time. Survivors include four children, Richard (Carol) Otto of Winter Springs, FL, Deanna (Larry) McNabb of Cedar Rapids, IA, Jerry W. (Sue) Otto of Johnstown, PA and Randy Otto of Loves Park, IL; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Wesley of Davenport, IA; one sister, Elna Tompkins of Washington, IA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Delmar. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. [more]
