Thelma Margaret Justice Grossen, 92, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born November 9, 1925 in East Liverpool, Ohio to the late Roy Justice and Gertrude (Haught) Justice McCall.
She was a lifetime resident of East Liverpool, OH and recently moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in October of 2013 to be near her daughters. She was a 1943 graduate of E.L.H.S. and was a member of Glenmore United Methodist Church. As a welder on airplane propellers during WWII, she was one of many women known as "Rosie the Riveter." Thelma worked as an LPN in ICU at E. Liverpool Hospital for 30 years.
Thelma was preceded in death by her first husband, Elvin E. Walton; second husband, Arthur W. Grossen; two sisters, Marjorie W. Fickle and Alice Janet Schorr; and step-son Lee Grossen.
Survivors include her children, Sondra, James, Louise, Rebecca (Walton), and Ruth Ann Grossen Snovak; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will be a private burial of her ashes at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, E. Liverpool, Ohio.
