Isabelle John

Isabelle Sanders John, 94, of Webster City, died Tuesday, April1, 2008 at the Hamilton Hospital. Private graveside services will be held at the Oakwood Cemetery, north of Stratford, with Rev. Pete Peterson officiating. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Isabelle Audrey Wilcox, daughter of Orlow and Winifred Dixson Wilcox, was born October 18, 1913 on a farm near Ogden. She graduated from Stanhope Consolidated School in 1930. On April 9, 1938, she married Everette Allen Sanders at Stillwater, MN. The couple resided in Minnesota. In 1948, they farmed near Homer. She was employed as a social worker for the State of Iowa for 21 years, retiring in 1978. Mr. Sanders died May 22, 1968. Following her husband's death, she moved from the farm to Webster City. For 22 years, she had resided at Escondido, CA then had resided at Perryville, AR for 5 years.
