"date night" with Gordon and friends. Lynda was also a great team member, helping her family support organizations they held dear to their hearts. She enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. The commitment she made to caring for her mother as she aged is what allowed her mother to stay in her home until she passed. She loved children and especially looked forward to visits from her grandchildren. She also looked forward to attending her grandchildren's events.
Her family includes her husband of nearly 22 years, Gordon Anderson of Oskaloosa; two children and their spouses, Scott and Leanne Harter of Nevada, Iowa and Amy and Rick Giardino of Kirkwood, Missouri; five grandchildren, Amanda Harter, Meredith Harter, Rhett Harter, Grant Giardino, and Olivia Giardino; two step daughters, Kim (Kevin) Lowry and Traci Overbergen all of Oskaloosa; four step grandchildren, Nicole Smith, Sarah Overbergen, Jordan Lowry, and Collin Lowry; her sister, Cindy (Mark) Walker of Oskaloosa; her brother, David (Eileen) Van Gorp of Marion, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Charles Van Gorp.
