On November 14, 1948, Martha married Roland H. Eskov at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Jacksonville, Iowa. The couple settled in rural Elk Horn, Iowa, where Martha began working as one of the first nurses at the Salem Lutheran Home. She then spent many years as a nurse at the G. E. Larsen clinic in Elk Horn and retired the same year as Dr. Larsen. Following her retirement, Martha served on the Elk Horn Library board and was a librarian.
Martha was a member of the Elk Horn Lutheran Church where she actively participated in Bible Studies and taught Sunday School for a number of years. She was a member of the Shelby County Relay for Life committee and the Elk Horn Outlook Study Club. Martha enjoyed traveling, collecting destination souvenir spoons, and loved growing glads in her garden. Hosting family and friends in her home was a joy for Martha.
Martha J. Eskov died on Friday, May 4, 2018, at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Iowa. She had reached the age of 90 years, 4 months, and 18 days.

y one sister, Mary Ann Anderson of Kimballton, Iowa; five nieces and nephews, Charles Kent (Cheryl) Eskov, Mary Lea (Scott) Graham, Jay (Barb) Anderson, Andy (Elizabeth) Anderson, and Dan (Lisa) Anderson; five great-nieces and great-nephews, Carter Anderson, Carson Anderson, Blaine Anderson, Grace Anderson, and Isaac Anderson; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church in Elk Horn, Iowa, with Pastor Keith Menter officiating. Nancy Watson, Pastor Keith Menter, and Loren Christensen served as musicians. Loren Christensen was also the Eulogist. Casket bearers were Jay Anderson, Andy Anderson, Dan Anderson, Carter Anderson, Carson Anderson, Blaine Anderson, Grace Anderson, and Isaac Anderson. Burial was in the Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery, Elk Horn, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the Elk Horn Library Addition Fund, Elk Horn, Iowa.
